About Li Lash-

Sales for $140 - Buy NOW for only $125!

I've mentioned before on facebook that I now sale Li Lash, which is an eyelash stimulator. I have had a few people ask me about it so I wanted to tell you some information about Li Lash.

Get Long, Beautiful lashes with Li Lash eyelash enhancement.

Lilash is geared both towards those who want to enhance their lashes naturally and those who wear eyelash extensions because it not only encourages growth, but strengthens existing hairs, offering more support and less breakage

Generally, those who used Lilash agreed that, compared to other lash enhancement products, it worked the fastest and the results were the most dramatic. Those who used the product daily noticed that their lashes were not only longer and healthier, but thicker and fuller as well. People noticed results very quickly and within six weeks those who used Lilash saw full results and were very pleased. Most claimed they would never again need mascara because their lashes were so long and full already

How to Apply Li Lash
  1. Apply once a day, morning or evening, to clean dry skin. Allow LiLash to dry for 2 to 3 minutes before applying other cosmetics.
  2. Remove the applicator from the tube and carefully wipe off any excess product on the inside of the tube.
  3. Apply the applicator to the skin of the upper eyelid along the lash line from inner to outer corner of the eye. See illustration below. A single application stroke is all that is required. LiLash is highly concentrated so little is needed for your best lashes
To avoid irritation do not apply to the lower eyelids or directly to the lashes themselves!
Side effects may occur-

Though the Lilash formula is safe for even the most sensitive eyes, there are some possible side effects may occur. First, some people noticed that there was burning and itchiness if it gets to the eyes. It may last for a couple of minutes. It feels like the burning sensation you get when you get shampoo in your eye. Others found that the formula caused swelling around the eye and discoloration of the upper lid. However, all side effects were easily reversible.

As mentioned earlier I am selling this product for $125 right now, if you are interested please let me know either on this blog in the comments, or on my facebook page.

If you have any other question feel free to ask me, or you can visit Li Lash FAQ's HERE.

Pretty Braids

Braids are showing up on the red carpet and every where else. Here are a few pictures to help you get some styling ideas. OH how I wish I had long hair... sighhhh

One of the great things about braids right now is that they don't have to be perfect to look pretty, if some of your layers don't quite fit into the braid that's ok!
They are great of spring and summer. Just pull your hair up and go out and enjoy the nice warm sun while it last!!

Fun Hair Accessories That Are In Right Now...

Hair Clips

Clips are perfect for short pixie hair styles and I love to use them when I am trying to grow my bangs out. (Which, I think we can all agree when I say growing out your bangs is one big FAT pain!)

Headbands

I Love the flowers and the jewels on these headband! Headbands are nice when I don't have a lot of time to get ready. You can just pop one on your head and go out the door looking more put together.

Bridal or Prom

I am already married, and too old to go to prom but if I were to have an event where I had to do my hair fancy I would pick one of these, I LOVE them all!

Feathers

Feathers are really in right now! They are on cute headbands, clips, and even extensions.

Hot Trends for the Spring

Color Melting Your hair is still in... although some of the magazines are calling it Ombre Color now. Either ways it's a pretty fun look! It's great because it has a very natural, grown out sun-lightened feel to it.

This is one of my favorite things to do with my color clients, it always looks so pretty!

Retro styles are in right now. This would be fun to try out if you have a special event to attend. You'll need a small to medium curling iron to achieve this look.

Pixies- LOVE THEM!! Which is why I am having a hard time growing my hair out.

One thing you'll want to keep in mind is this hair cut is NOT for everyone, and to make sure your pixie has soft, feminine touches so you don't end up looking like a little boy.

With that said I would highly recommend it if you can rock it!

Lip art

While I was paroozing (if that's a real word) the internet I came across this picture. Done by artist Paige Thompson. She is a painter based in Texas who started experimenting with Halloween makeup on her lips to create different animals. What started as an art project with a bumblebee has blossomed into a portfolio of various animals ranging from a fox, a jaguar, a black cat, and panda.
I thought it was something fun to share, so here you are.

You are what you eat...

We've all heard the saying you are what you eat... well in a sense it's true.
Your hair, skin and nails are directly affected by what you eat!

"Lather, rinse, repeat" may be standard advice, but shampoo and conditioner alone won't give you the healthy hair you crave. For the most luxurious locks possible here are a few tips on what you should be eating.

The best foods for healthy hair and skin include items from all four food groups, so finding something you like that will enhance your skin and hair should be easy and tasty. Here's a list of the best foods for healthy skin and hair.

Blueberries- They're rich is antioxidants that protect your skin and hair from damaging UV radiation.

Brazil nuts- They contain selenium, which your body uses to produce a protein that helps promote healthy hair and skin.

Spinach- It's packed with both vitamins A and C, which the body converts to sebum, a natural conditioner produced by hair follicles.

Kidney beans-They're full of protein, which promotes healthy hair growth.

Eggs- They're a great source of B-12, which is essential to healthy hair and skin.

Oysters- they contain the antioxidant zinc, which is crucial to health hair and skin.

Yogurt- Calcium is important for healthy hair as well as strong bones.

Cereal-Even the worst kids' cereals are fortified with iron, a mineral key to healthy skin and hair

Salmon- When it comes to foods that pack a beauty punch, it's hard to beat salmon. Loaded with omega-3 fatty acids, this high-quality protein source is also filled with vitamin B-12 and iron."Essential omega-3 fatty acids are needed to support scalp health," says Andrea Giancoli, MPH, RD, a dietitian in Los Angeles and a spokeswoman for the American Dietetic Association. "A deficiency can result in a dry scalp and thus hair, giving it a dull look."
Vegetarian? Include one or two tablespoons of ground flaxseed in your daily diet for some plant-based omega-3 fats.

Carrots- are an excellent source of vitamin A, which promotes a healthy scalp along with good visioin. Since a healthy scalp is essential for a shiny, well-conditioned head of hair, you'd be wise to include carrots in your diet as snacks or toppings on your salad.

Water- You’ll look younger when your skin is properly hydrated. Water helps to replenish skin tissues, moisturizes skin and increase skin elasticity.

How To: Easy Fishtail Braid

Move beyond the basic braid with a runway-inspired fishtail plait. Stylist Tommy Bucket explains how.

1. Spritz hair spray onto dry hair—Bucket suggests using Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray. "Rake your hands through your hair instead of a brush and you'll get that modern, ropey look," Bucket says.

2. Separate hair into two equal sections at the back of the head. Fishtail braiding requires only two sections (not three, like a classic or French braid).

3. Use your index fingers to pull out a half-inch section of hair from the area near the base of your ear on the right section of your head. Cross it over to the left section. (It's important to pull sections from underneath when you cross over to get that scaly look.)

4. Repeat with a half-inch piece from the left section, crossing it over to the right. "And don't worry if layers start to fall out of the braid," Bucket says. "It gives the look a pretty, effortless feel."

5. Continue adding half-inch pieces until you reach the ends, and secure with an elastic. Pull on the braid a bit to loosen it. "Don't put pressure on yourself to make it perfect," Bucket says. "If there's a bump or a knot, leave it."

Try it out and send me a picture, we can do a little show and tell!!

Oblong or Rectangular Face Shape

Rectangular or oblong

Long and slender, about the same width at forehead and just below cheekbones. May have a very narrow chin or a very high forehead.
Aim: To make the face appear Shorter and wider

Try

Styles with short to medium lengths. Fullness at the sides of your face and wispy bangs soften the look of longer face shapes. You'll want to balance the look of a long and slender face. Soft wispy bangs will shorten the appearance of the length. Fullness at the sides of your face will add width to the look of your face shape.

By cutting the hair into a short or medium length, the outline of the cut will also shorten the look of the length of the face. Layers work great with your face shape, as they will add softness to the straight lines in your face. Try side parts, and you may be able to wear straight back styles.

Avoid

Too much hair length . . . this will make your face will look even longer! Too much height lengthens your face. Center parts look great on people with a rectangular or oblong face shape. When your hair grows past your shoulders, there is a good chance it is doing you more harm than good.

Heart Shaped Face....

Face is wide at the temples and hairline, narrowing to a small delicate chin.

Try

Chin-length or longer styles work well with a heart shaped face. Other styles to try: side-parted hair styles or swept-forward layers around the upper face, with gently wispy bangs. A chin length bob is great on your face shape! This creates a balanced look by giving fullness where you need it. You can wear shorter styles; however, if you are a dramatic heart shape you need to leave weight in the back nape area. This will achieve more balance between your dramatic cheekbones and more narrow chin.

Avoid

Short, full styles that emphasize the upper face. Stay away from styles with too much height at the crown. Severe, slicked back looks are too harsh for this shape too. If you are a dramatic heart shape, the short, full styles with tapered necklines, which emphasize the upper face will make you look top heavy. Too much height at the crown will give the appearance of a longer and narrower chin. Just remember if you have a dramatic heart shape face, you have great cheekbones to emphasize! Don't miss the boat by getting a cut which is too top heavy

Round Face...

Round Face - Your face is as wide as it is long. This may vary a little but generally the measurement is close.
Try and create the illusion of length to the face, this will make the face appear slimmer.

Avoid- Chin length hair with a rounded line that mirrors face’s round shape. Center parts tend to accentuate roundness. Also avoid styles with short-short crops, or straight "chopped" bangs. Fullness at side of ears also accentuates the round shape. A rounded haircut ending at the chin will certainly add weight to your already round face shape. Because the widest part of your face is at the cheeks and ears, you need to avoid having the fullness of the cut here, as it will make your face appear wider.
